Here goes Tim from ES with Em & Estelle posing with a new self re-setting possum trap. Very exciting, these traps even made it onto the news. They're the latest innovation from the legends at Goodnature. -If you haven't heard about them you better google them.
Next photo down is a group of lovely 1st year Environmental Management students from Southern Institute of Technology admiring 'Billy the possum killer' tied to a tree. It was really energising and refreshing to meet all of them and we look forward to more collaboration/field trips/picnics in the future. We all enjoyed showing them around our 'project', rebaiting and luring possum traps and discussing lots of pest control methods, including the setting up of a few of these fandangled new traps...
Next photo down shows Tim & Mitch with a dead possum they'd prepared earlier testing out the trap, and yes it did work, it quickly put a neat hole in the back of the possum's head, just like a 22 bullet, and then it peacefully re-set itself, amazing.
