This good looking team made it into the auspicious Southland Times last week promoting 'Clean Up Southland' week, which is at the end of September. But before then we've got a beach clean up going on Saturday the 4th of September. If you're keen, meet at 9.30am (to beat the tide, truly) at ye olde Ocean Beach freezing works gravel carpark. We'll head westward. Bring your lunch, warm clothes and hot gumboots. We will provide sacks for the rubbish. You can help out just for the morning or stay for the arvo too.Since June we've collected 38 oyster sacks full of rubbish from Bluff's coastline, including 868 plastic bottles... and we're keen to make it 1000.
