It's that time of year again...

Trustee Lex Beal enjoys the tropical weather.
When you feel the first chillblains of the season, the urge to plant garlic and your car sliding out from under you on the Greenhills bridge you know it's time we (BHMET) began our winter beach clean ups again.
Since last June we have collected 179 oyster sacks of rubbish weighing a grand total of 1527 kg and including 2477 plastic bottles from our splendid coastline, -pretty good for a bunch of tree huggers, -and non-hugging associates.
The first clean up will be on the ocean side of Tiwai spit. Sat 25 June 11.00am. (Will postpone to Sunday if the weather is really average)
The plan…
· Meet on the south side of the Tiwai bridge at 11am (to beat high tide).
· Bring your lunch.
· We will provide sacks for the rubbish.
· Boots and warm clothing/wet weather gear totally recommended.
· Kids bring a parent.

Contact Tracker on 2128287 for more info, or if the weather is extremely questionable on the day, or if you want to car-pool out there.
